Rental Boom Set to Contiinue
Feb 22,2010
The current boom in the residential rental sector could be set to continue, letting agents have said.
Mike Goddard, chief executive of letting agent Belvoir, said more people would be willing to rent in 2010.
He told The Franchise Magazine: "With rental values expected to increase steadily as the year goes on, I believe it's never been a better time to be either a landlord or indeed a tenant."
Letting agents could therefore see busier times ahead and may see the benefit of investing in property management software to help them keep track of their properties.
Mr Goddard added that as the country continued to recover from the recession, it was time for people to return to the traditional method of only paying what they could afford.
James Davis, chief executive of online letting agent upad.co.uk, recently said that more people were being forced to rent houses from letting agents as they could not afford to buy their own homes.
